CPR & Defibrillator training & awareness sessions

An image showing the chain of survival for a person suffering from a cardiac arrest.

Would you know what to do if you found someone who had collapsed and was not breathing? Every moment counts during a cardiac emergency and it is vital the person receives treatment as swiftly as possible to have the highest likelihood of survival.

The first thing to do is to dial 999 and request an ambulance. Current ambulance response rates stand at up to 30 minutes or more in rural areas. Providing care within 3-5 minutes of the person’s collapse will increase their survival chance from 6% to 74%.

Performing CPR at this stage can double the person’s chance of survival. Chest compressions keep blood flowing to the person’s vital organs, ensuring they’re not deprived of oxygen and are still functioning.

Early intervention and action is crucial to providing the highest chance of survival for a victim of cardiac arrest. Make sure you’re equipped with the knowledge to save a life by booking on to one of our training courses.
